Welcome to Room 1
Welcome to Room 1!
Its hard to believe we are already part way through Term 3. Its been great to meet new families and keep in touch with families that are already part of the school community.
Its another busy term with lots of exciting things coming up. We are doing a fantastic Inquiry Unit on Road Safety and of course guided reading and writing continues. We are also doing numeracy and geometry for mathematics this term and room 1 enjoys going to the ICT suite on a Wednesday and Thursday. Discovery has also begun this term which is held on a Friday morning. Discovery devlops oral language and some of the key competencies. It provides the children with the opportunity to choose organised activites during the 90 minute time. This terms theme for discovery is Transport focussing on helping and supporting others.
Room 1 visits the Library on a Monday so it would be much appreciated if library books are returned on a Monday.
Each Wednesday I am released to take Wonderful Wednesdays. This is a preschool programme held in Room 2. This Wednesday, August the 18th, we are having an Afternoon Tea Party. Parents are welcome. It is in Room 2 at 2pm. See you there!
